SolarWinds recently announced that SQL Server expert, Thomas LaRock, is joining the ranks of the company's Head Geek team, where he will share his database administration expertise to further the company's efforts in meeting the needs of IT and database professionals.
LaRock is a Microsoft SQL Server Certified Master and six-time Microsoft SQL Server MVP. Also known as the SQL Rockstar, he's very active on a blog that he started in 2003 providing readers with his musings in the database industry.
LaRock also joins SolarWinds following the company's acquisition of Confio, where he worked as a technical evangelist for Confio Ingite, which is known as SolarWinds Database Performance Analyzer (DPA) today. SolarWinds DPA provides performance monitoring analysis and tuning for SQL Server, Orcle, DB2, and Sybase databases.
"Thomas is an excellent addition to the SolarWinds' Head Geek team. His hands-on experience and broad knowledge of the database management market have already positioned him as an expert in his field as a true 'SQL Rockstar,'" said SolarWinds Head Geek Patrick Hubbard.
