Compaq, Knosys, and Microsoft announced a turnkey product bundle that gives customers a complete, cost-effective data-warehousing and analytic application solution. The collaboration lets customers purchase and solution providers deliver complete solutions consisting of Compaq Proliant Servers, Knosys ProClarity OLAP client or ProClarity Analytical Platform, and Microsoft SQL Server 7.0 with OLAP Services. "We are pleased to be working in conjunction with Microsoft and Compaq to offer a complete and integrated bundle of industry-leading products that help customers shorten implementation time and derive maximum value from their corporate data," says Clay Young, Knosys marketing vice president. In addition to the product bundle, the companies launched a campaign with 19 analytical application partners and systems integrators to deliver custom and canned analytical applications based on Microsoft and Knosys technology. The companies are promoting the program through an Analytical Applications Resource CD-ROM and a supporting multicity seminar series. Participating sponsors, partners, and DM Review and Knowledge Management magazines will distribute more than 90,000 CD-ROMs. The goal of the bundled solution is to help large organizations realize significant savings in deploying analytical applications for measuring key business-performance attributes. The bundle provides a springboard for deploying customized and vertical-focused analytical applications from partners that deliver applications for the sales, marketing, financial services, health care, legal, insurance, e-commerce, retail, and education markets.
