Active Endpoints Introduces Cloud Extend for Salesforce.com

Salesforce.com is already a leader in the online CRM market, despite ongoing competition from the likes of Oracle, SAP, and Microsoft. Now Active Endpoints -- a developer of products designed to help developers and end-users create and deploy custom on-premise and cloud-based applications -- has helped make Salesforce.com easier for end-users to develop their own Salesforce.com applications, thanks to the introduction of Cloud Extend for Salesforce.com.

In a prepared statement, Active Endpoints CEO Mark Taber touted the customization options of Cloud Extend. "Sales managers want to get things done faster and under their own control, so how are we going to drive overall adoption of Salesforce.com? Customization made drop dead simple and at the center of their universe — right inside the Salesforce.com environment," Taber said. "Cloud Extend is pushing the envelope for what business users can do on their own to customize SaaS applications."

According to Active Endpoints, Cloud Extend is designed for use by non-technical end-users, so a sales manager could create and deploy an automated script for sales rep to follow when calling clients. A web-based user interface helps those same non-technical users create their own training and sales guides. Support is also provided for iPad, iPhone, Android and Salesforce Chatter.

Active Endpoints is allowing some Salesforce.com users to register for a Cloud Extend early access program, which you can access here.
