At the Worldwide Partner Conference today, Microsoft made some interesting new announcements for upcoming solutions and products.

Here's a few highlighted announcement notes:

Cloud OS Accelerate – a new program by Microsoft, Cisco, NetApp, HP, Dell, and Hitachi Data Systems to help proliferate private and hybrid cloud solutions to customers at a tune of a $100 million investment.

On October 1st, Microsoft will roll out a 30 percent discount on Windows Intune.

Microsoft is rolling out a new self-service business intelligence (BI) solution integrated into Office 365. Both customers and partners can register for the Preview here:  http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/excel/power-bi-FX104080667.aspx

Windows Azure Active Directory integration will be further enhanced, enabling single sign-on (SSO) services for users of Windows Azure services at no charge. When available, the Preview registration will be at this link: http://www.windowsazure.com/en-us/services/preview/

A special offer will be made available to Microsoft partners for Windows Azure SQL Database in the near future. The limited preview is still weeks away, but partners can choose to be notified here:  http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/dn282640

P.S. There were many more "announcements" made, but the majority of the content in the messaging has already been declared at TechEd NA and TechEd Europe (sorry, MMS attendees – you have been left out again!). So, if you want to put all of the announcements together from the last 3 months or so, jump out to our TechEd coverage and sift through the enormous, steaming mound of excitement.
