Q. Can I use File Classification Infrastructure (FCI) to classify remote folders?

A. No. The File Classification Infrastructure (FCI) is a new component of the File Server Resource Manager (FSRM). It was introduced in Windows Server 2008 R2 and classifies data for future processing. For FCI to classify data, the data must be in folders on mounted drives, not remote folders.
