Configuring a System Center DPM 2010 Client Protection Group

You might not be aware of it, but a recent Gartner report found that up to 60% of an organization’s data, on average, is stored on client computers. Given how often people tend to back up their own data, not dealing with client computers can leave a massive hole in any organization’s data protection strategy.

DPM 2010 allows you to create specific protection groups to protect client, rather than server data. In the video below I take you through the process of creating a client specific protection group in DPM 2010. In a later video I’ll show how end users can perform recovery of their own data through DPM.
